Dorene takes Tamara for a half mile walk by the lake near Dorene’s house each evening when it has cooled down. Tamara still takes blood thinner and Tylenol.
Tamara has qualified for in-home nursing care. Dorene said, “Yesterday
the nurse came, took her blood pressure and talked to her. She will come once
or twice a week. Tamara won’t have to go to the doctor at all, because they nurses come to our home to check her out.”
Because David works at the hospital he gets a special
benefit for his wife. Tamara has a computer they brought out today. Dorene
said, “They hooked it up to our telephone. She can take her blood pressure, her
weight, her temperature, and her heart rate. All that goes over the telephone
to a nurse that is on the other end that checks to make sure she is okay. So every
day we check those four items. So if anything went wrong we would send that and
they would be out to help her.
