Tamara's mom told me, "Tamara is getting much better every day. When she started, she couldn’t pray at all. I had to help her. She was like a child. She couldn’t remember what to say. Now she is getting better, and I don’t have to help her as much."
She is looking better and is not as dizzy, and she doesn’t
feel like she is going to fall like she did before. Tamara is walking
downstairs and outside at least two to three times a day. She walks to the
elevator, goes down the elevator, then walks outside and walks around a lot of
steps, stops and rests, then goes back in. Her legs are a lot stronger.
It looks like she will go home next Tuesday. They are moving
everything out of the hospital on Friday to move to a new facility. The chances
of her staying are very slim because she gets better every day. She is able to
do more things, and things are coming back. She will go home to Dorene’s house.
Her eye is still a problem. It is kind of blurry on the left
eye. It is going to take time. She saw double for two and a half weeks, and that
finally went away. Dorene feels the blurriness will correct itself in time. She still has problems
adjusting to everything. She gets tired easily. She is not well yet. She
doesn’t have to get the shots in her stomach anymore for blood clots. She has
to be more careful now.
Dorene is very happy that Tamara is doing well.
